What do you expect from your 22 LR?

What kind of money do you have in those airguns? Spending dollar for dollar what kind of 22 would you buy with a similar price tag?

Air guns are like musky fishing, nothing is cheap. Youll be around $500-600 in a base model cheapo to shoot good enough 100yd accuracy with slugs for small game hunting, but to get the best target 22s that are being used in competition you are around the $3-4,000 range.

and check out the blackie-haven't seen one of them since the mid 70's when my Granddad sold the camp in Venango Co,
We have a few floating around the area I live and hunt. I have hunted squirrels since I was a kid and have never shot one. The only times I have seen them was when in pursuit of other game.

I had a very close encounter with one several years back when one was scampering around while I was perched in a climbing tree stand bow hunting whitetails. The little guy decided to climb my tree and peeked around the tree right at eye level with me! I think that thing launched at least 10-12 feet to the next available tree!

I have 7 of them living in my back yard. Nearly half the squirrels i shoot are black anymore (in the wild, not my yard lol). Really is cool how different genetics are in different areas of the country

I shoot pigeons inside 200 yds with mine. Takes several hits to kill a skunk in the 100 to 150 yard range. It's fun to shoot mice in a fresh cut hayfield with it. I'm shooting a rpr with a can & sk match ammo. For serious subsonic varmit hunting I've stepped up to a 300 aac & 190 sub x bullets.
