—-What do you guys think about these actions? —-

I have the SR3 and the Origin looks to be same other than the recoil lug. Better prices for sure.

Bighorn would be my choice in the custom action market. Mausingfield would be another if I was after a M70 type action.

Love the Mausingfield. Uses Savage prefit barrels. Bighorn are a staple of the custom action world and they are quality actions. As for the actions you ask about, I have no way of knowing considering they aren't even out yet. Both look very tempting. The Bighorn Origin would probably make a great foundation for a Remage.

Is that your cross post on Sniper's Hide? I see plenty of those guys are pre-ordering. I think I'll join the crowd.

I’m in the same boat.... guess that’s part of ordering before you can get your hands on one!

I don’t post over on SH.

I think both of these guys are using savage pre fits... I can’t figure out if I like that ARC bolt stop... it’s a bit heavier as well.

Decisions decisions

There are some new actions for sale on Accurate Shooter. He's running a special for $500. They "look" like they should be nice. Not a lot of info on them yet though. TL Technologies, about 8 pages back in firearms.

I was planning on a Bighorn SA with mag bolt face for a 6.5 SAUM build. These new actions are a great chance to cut some costs. Tough decision.

I just bought one of those actions from Jack Lyons. It seems to be a good mix of characteristics. We will see how it performs. I’ll post feed back when I get it.

Of the actions you listed,
I like the looks of the Big Horn better than the Mausingfield I just can’t get past the ridiculous looking bolt handle. However the way the bolt lugs are radiused instead of flat is interesting. Also the way the scope rail indexes with a press fit slot eliminates scope base bedding.
