Turkey opens on the 12th, but i won't be able to get out for a couple weeks after that. I will also try to call in some bears to the camera.

Here in Idaho our turkey season opens in April along with the spring bear season, but I really like to hunt ground squirrels and rock chucks with the varmint rifles. I haven't hunted bear the last few years, just to crippled up to climb the mountains anymore. I'll get a turkey, but there so thick here it's like shooting chickens.

It's been a long winter and it won't be long til the ground squirrels start digging out. It's a limited window as the best shooting comes between the time they dig out and the grass gets to high to see those little critters thru it.

Gophers. Except you don't "hunt" them, you just shoot them.

Ticks. I hunt them on my body.

Mushrooms. Not sure if you call that "hunt", "find", or "pick", maybe all three.

Sheds. I include that with mushrooms.

turkeys , and occasional coyote hunt in between .Im taking my 7 year old SATURDAY on the youth turkey hunt( cannot wait)

Not really hunting but I make several trips to the farm, try to help fix farm stuff for my brother in law and shoot prairie dogs when I have the time while I am there. That will take me into the early summer then i hunt trout up on the Poudre River for a few months.

Coyotes year round, but turkey starts tomorrow for archery in Kansas and then Oklahoma turkey starts on the 6th. I can taste them now! Mmmmm!

It's currently spring beer hunt season out of the refrigerator. Those crafty little buggers are either getting better at hiding or becoming endangered. In the winter I can leave them out in the garage for a little bit better fair chase scenario but in the spring they have to start to go into the fridge. I know that caging them in a small area makes it more of a "canned" hunt situation but I try to stick to bottles.

Walleyes, bass, crappies and sunfish!

Beer battered and deep fried washed down with a cold beer on the shore of the lake... Nothing better!

It's snowing like crazy here today. I may sell my boat and buy another snowmobile... Doesn't look like we are ever going to see open water again....

Actually, CO does have a spring bear season. It just isn't a hunting season. Spring is when the bear leave the hills and come into town and start their annual mischief. Raiding dumpsters, tipping trash bins, prowling alleys behind restuarants looking for food scraps, etc. They like to hang out along hiking trails hoping to scare some tourist into giving up their granola bars. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
