What do you piece of equipment or tool do you need?

A couple of my friends and I have a little bet going on! The bet is over this question right here.

What piece of equipment or tool do you need or want for this hunting season? It does not have to be predator hunting related, heck doesn't even have to be out on the market, just something that you think would make you hunting in what ever field it may be easier.

I am just curious because two of us seem to thing somethings are more important to us than others. So, feel free to give us your opinion.

Thanks,
Craig Steele

Well, if your buyiing , i'll place my order for a new 4x4 4 wheeler. Thanks . Does this mean Santa is comming earley this year?

First and foremost....A GOOD digital camera. One with a zoom lense. Not only for webmaster work but also recording on the spot kills and photo ops. I was hoping to have one this summer, whether that happens or not is in the stars. I'd really like to start taking photographs of the non-kill encounters in the off season. Secondly, a high end digital cam-corder. I gotta quit buying rifles.

-----Id settle for more vacation-time off from the office...

-----OHHH... and somebody make me a video camera "automatic aiming device", so that wherever I point the barrel, the camera points too. That way I can record my own hunts and enjoy them over and over again. Naturally the camera and elevation system would need to be compact and silent.

-----Ill take something that will clean up the house, the yard, pay the bills, do the dishes and the laundry. (but not complain  , cost me more $$$ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif , and insist that we have more "us-time" together /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif that will impact my outdoors-schedule)

But Seriously:

-----For Deer, Bear, and Javelina season Id like to have a 4x4 ATV that is reliable and low maintenance. My truck is just too big for alot of those trails in the hills.

I'll second Robb's more vacation time. However, what I want is a nice 4X4 ATV with a major winch to get that elk I'm gonna get up over a limb. Or for that matter back to camp in less than 6 trips.

Next choice would be an electronic caller with remote.

Guess which one is more likely to happen (Oh, my aching back).

The Fountain of YOUTH!! If I was 30 years younger the hills wouldn't be as steep, or even as high for that matter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well I think being in the right place at the right time is probably the most important. I need an electronic call but I really need a 3D camo suit more. If your in the right place and get seen than it's all over.

A Hummer, the new H2. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I gotta agree with Bob, a good digital camera. I will get one before the PM hunt. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Second would be a Thompson Contender so I can try my luck at hunting with a handgun........

The older you get the more you realize that the material things aren’t all that important. Rich has the right idea. The fountain of youth would be nice. How about the time to use and enjoy all the junk I already have.

Definitely a new tricked out 4x4 Quad, a Laser rangefinder, and some new binoc's....I just put in my new Jewell trigger and what a difference it makes...If you're ever thinking of upgrading a
trigger on an AR, definitely go with Jewell /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
