What does coyote taste like

I worked with a Vietnamese guy I asked him if he ever ate dog he said it is good with BBQ sauce. I think anything is good if you cook it long enough and put BBQ sauce on it.
 
They didn't even skin it first! "I just got the taste of what a coyote smells like." Yeah, reason enough to stop chewing and spit it out. I'll continue to not eat them, myself, thank you.
 
My friend told me that his son and another friend got tired of supplying all the jerky on school trips, they jerked a coyote and took it on the next school trip, they put their deer jerky in one pocket and the coyote jerky in another. No one knew the difference.
 
Somewhere those two guys are kicked back drinking beer laughing their @sses off and saying, "I wonder how many guys we talked into trying that [beeep]?"

I saw that episode. It's bad enough that they ate it but to burn and scrape the hair off instead of skinning it out was the part that made my stomach turn. Glad I watched it after dinner.
 
Yeah, I didn't really get that. I don't even like the smell of singed arm hair when the BBQ gets carried away. I can't imagine trying to eat around burned coyote hair. That would screw up a good elk steak - and I like elk steak!
 
I was grabbing a few hunting items at the sport shop the other day. A guy noticed some camo in the cart and asked what I was hunting, I told him Coyotes. He said he hunts coyotes and loves coyote stew. I almost threw up on his shoes. I am hoping he was joking. The way he talked gave me the impression he had never hunted a day in his life.

I have eaten dog on two occasions while stationed in Korea. It tasted very good. Eating a coyote though I think would be an entirely different taste. In Korea they are raised like any other farm animal.
