What Five Rifles Would YOU List on Your Bucket List?

The Ak47/74 wasn't meant for accuracy but the Aks I have shot with friends and the one I use to have I could hit human silhouettes out to 200 yards with the standard iron sights (as long as they were zeroed) and with a battle rifle like that. That is all you need.

An 1891 mauser. I think its the best feeling action I've ever ran
I'd like to have a pre 64 in 220 swift
A win 94 in 30 30
A rem 700 in caliber of choice
And a cooper. They're just addictive

I'm close to seventy and at one time owned a gunshop and did the war thing so if gotten to shoot just about everything I would care to.

I guess I would want upgrades or different calibers of guns i already have.

1. A svelt little drilling in 16x16/5.6x50R Mag with a low mounted 1.5-6x20-24mm scope in claw mounts.

2. Savage 99 in 22-250

3. A set of David McKay Brown round body english stocked bird guns in 12 & 20 ga.

4. A modern Italian hammer sxs set up with choke tubes in 12 ga.

5. I guess that is it.

I have shot the Barrett 50 semi auto.. It's nice, it's impressive, but shooting it is a let down.

My 300win mag kicks more, and when you shoot it, it sounds like you had someone hit the garage door spring with a hammer when you ear is on it. It's so big and heavy it's a lay at the firing line with it kind of shooting.

The military is phasing them out because unless you have the Barrett ammo, any 50 cal ammo will mess up the barrel in 100 rounds and create waves in it, which then messes up the semi auto blow back, and you get a stove pipe about every 10 rounds. A freshly fired 50 cal casing is not a case that you want to grab after a stove pipe.

Savage 99 takedown in 38/55, Win 100 in 284, Quality Drilling in 16X16X 30/30, or 20X20X 25/35, Win 95 in 30/40, Rem Rolling Block in 45/70

My list would include:

AI AT in 6.5 creedmoor, suppressed

Anschutz Fortner in a carbon fiber stock, suppressed

Noveske 300 blackout, suppressed

Noveske AR, short barreled and suppressed

HK MP7 - suppressed

Answers probably change tomorrow!
