What happens when you shoot a 2250 psi SCBA tank??

What do you do with a SCBA tank with a broken valve and 2250psi trapped inside??

Yup, I had the same idea.

We set it up and it ended up being 511 yards. I put 2 rounds on my steel target and then went for the tank. The only thing I had to film it with was my phone, so the quality is pretty bad......sorry.

We also shot some steel and my buddy showed me up on my rifle......the first time he shot it.

He shot a 3 round group @ 1.920" and destroyed a 12oz pop can the first try.

I went for head shots on my target and had an awesome 3 shot group but decided to go for 5. I ended up pulling the last 2 for an overall 3.955" and hit my pop can on the second shot.

After that we walked his AR onto the target and had some fun shooting our pistols. It was a pretty fun afternoon.

It was pretty loud, but not as loud as I thought it would be.

Try shooting an oxygen tank. I've got a couple set aside untill I find a safe place to do it.

O2 goes crazy with hydrocarbons. Have a lot of grease and other petrolium products around, should really be a show.

Not me shooting. I've got a much bigger tank laying around than their little medical cylenders.

Dang video doesn't work! It's a good one too. Try this one.

I will be using the 260 at no less than 300 yards!!!!!(thats it for my safety speach.)

I wan't to. I had a chance to get a couple small medical cylinders but it fell through.

I filled O2 and other gas tanks for four years.

I don't miss working around 3000psi or more buzzing around my head and face all day.

This was PRAXAIR in St. Louis, a fill plant and gas distubuter just like us, we did a lot of work with. We found out as it was happening.

As a firefighter, I've always wondered what an scba bottle would do when shot...pretty cool. On another note, speaking from experience, when a gas bottle or O2 bottle blows and you're fairly close to it, you may need an extra pair of underwear in the truck. Things get hairy when bottles start flying around. Had a propane tank on the back of a forklift blow up in a factory fire and went through the roof, about 200ft in the air and landed in a field behind the factory as we were going in the door. It slowed our roll a lil bit.
