What is the best value (not always lowest price) in digital trail cameras? I am hopeing to keep this under $100. The camera will be used to monitor feeder activity mainly at night.
Thanks
Doug

I just bought a cheap digital game camera from Walmart. It was only $60. I tested it in my yard and in my basement(total darkness) and it seems to work fine. The pictures aren't very high in quality and it doesn't timestamp the photos, but for $60 what can you expect? I just put the camera on my bear bait pile yesterday. If I get any pictures of actual game, I'll post them here.

With a nice bait pile, most of the cameras at Walmart work fine. If you want to catch stuff just walking by on a trail then you will have to spend some money.
www.ChasinGame.com has testing and reviews of many of the trail cameras available. It is an easy to use site and the guys who hang around there are very helpful.

My opinion, spend a little more and buy one with a digital camera. It's a lot less hassle, you can check pictures in the field instead of having to take your film in to have it developed just to see what walked by, and find out you have 2 pictures of deer and 34 of nothing.

Dang Marlin I was gonna tell him about chasingame, any way I want one too.I emailed Anthony there an asked what the best one for me would be,he emailed me back in less than aday.Told me I should look at stealthcam,an IR model /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Get the Wildview Xtreme II. I have the camera and have no complaints about it whatsoever!! Got it for $100 at Gander Mountain. If you want to see the type of pics it takes, go to the Big Game Hunting room on here and check out my posts.

I just bought a 2 mp wildview from Gander. It runs 100 for the camera 4 c batteries and 128mb card. That is a good price. I just put it out today so Im curious to see haw the pics turnout. 2 mp it a decent size so they outta be good.
