What is the Most Beautiful Firearm You Own

Don_P, a very special 1911 you have.

my dad (RIP Ranger WW2) brought back a 1914 he found in a locker in a burned out German factory.
It was made in Finland 1926 under contract by Colt using exact Colt 1911 drawings & specs and has the Finish royal seal.
It is marked as 11.25 mm, instead of our 0.45, but all parts are same & interchangeable with our 1911.
Being found in a German factory, it was probably stolen from a Finish soldier then kept as a personal sidearm by the factory worker.
While it works so-so, the springs are soft. Its a just family heirloom now.

Thanks, I think so too.

Yours is awesome! Can you just imagine the history associated with these guns? I often wonder. Doesn't get much more captivating.
Mine is a safe king. Those of that era weren't heat treated and I wouldn't want to risk cracking the slide just to say I shot it.

LMAO @hm1996 You Sir should get a kick out of this....
I corrupted my Hunting buddy so today he returns the favor.....

Just picked up another Remington 721 ...
Chambered in 6mm Rem Ackley Improved so yes. NOW I am now a AI user ... LMAO.
This one may not make it to anything other than a latest acquisition that maybe interesting.

Rifle specs :
Remington 721 LA, the factory bolt handle has been replaced with a Remington 700 threaded bolt handle. Now I'm not sure why the smith did this but the magazine box is tiged to the action. Not sure how I feel about this... not upset just a what the heck???maybe a good reason IDK. Right now see no reason to change this. I think I know why, and if it's what I'm thinking yeah probably would have done the same maybe.
As the Original barrel is gone , harder to accurately date it, but the 250,XXX serial Number should be early 60/61ish range

Barrel maker UNK in 6mm Rem AI, I asked about the twist, dealer had no clue. I did somewhat check it, with patch and jag somewhere between the 1-75" and 1-8" twist.
My preferred twist is 1-12 for the 244 Rem / 6mm Rem. On the way back with her in the case Ed and I was discussing that I said I figured a 1-9" T
Not sure if SS or a chrome moly barrel. (she was filthy, but cleaned up FAST, I do mean fast in the bore, less than 10 passes with brush and jag/patch, clean patch).
Muzzle is .750" for 24" length. So about on par with the light Varmint profile.

Trigger factory "Mike Walker" unmolested there.

Optics scope bases Leupold / Redfield STD bases, topped with a Weaver T series Classic V24 6-24x40 Adjustable Objective.

Stock is a Remington 700 ADL LA walnut stock (bedded at front lug and pillared at the rear lug), modified (cutout) for the 721 safety.

Now the question, will she shoot well enough to be in the top 10????? and actually deserved to be placed here
