What is your favorite AR-15 accessory (grip, triggers, different stock etc)

what is your favorite thing you have done to your AR-15? I'm talking about hunting/calling rifles and not tacticooool rifles.

Yes I am looking for things to make my AR even more enjoyable while in the field.

Here are some things I have planned:

new grip - really like the houge but also like the grips that have the piece that rolls up the trigger guard to keep your hand off the cold metal.

I want a different stock than the A2 but not sure which one yet.

I need a new trigger but unsure which one yet.

I plan to get to a 5 or 10 round magazine to lighten the rifle a little and I like the look of a shorter mag as well.

Would like to add some sort of a flash light that will reach out 30-50 yards to shine the eyes while hunting at night.

I don't like the scope mount I have right now and plan to upgrade to a different mount soon and trying to decide what will work the best.

I would like to get a different free float tube and I'm curious about the Houge.

Would really like some camo furniture for the AR. Anyone know where you can get this at?

Badger tactical latch..

That was the very first thing I put on my rifle. I actually purchased it when I got the upper. I learned from past AR-15's that this was a "must have" on any AR.

Favorites:

1) Quality Barrel 18"

2) Single stage 2# trigger

3) M4 adjustable stock

4) Glove Friendly trigger guard

5) 9 round magazine

6) 2-7x quality scope w/side mount red dot.

7) Badger Tactical Latch

I would think a 18" barrel would be a nice medium. My 16" was extremely too loud and the 20" can get a bit heavy when walking a few miles through the Indiana hills.

I love my MagPul (PRS) Precision Rifle Stock.

I've also added a Streamlight M-3 light that attaches to my front gas block. Easily shows eyes beyond 50 yards.

The FAB ergonomic folding pistol grip was much more comfortable than the Hogue Grip. It also has a storage compartment for extra M-3 batteries.

1. LaRue scope mounts
2. ACE skeleton stock (for predators)
3. Mapul PRS stock(for prone shooting targets & varmints)
4. Timney Drop-in Trigger
5. Tac latch
6. Accuwedge
7. Surefire M961

#1.ACE Skeleton stock. #2. Ergo grip. #3.Daniel Defense 4 rail gas block. #4. 35.00 trigger job from a guy off of AR15.com

I'm want to send one off to him here shortly. Describe the triggerfeel after he's done with it, is there any creep? Crisp break?

The 15 minute job from AR15.com gets rid of the scratchy nasty pull but there's some creep there. Breaks cleanly and light years ahead of the stock feel, just not quite where I want it yet.

Do you have a link. I looked around and could not find it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

I don't have the link, but his name is Bill Springfield. Search feature, either here or another site should turn it up.

As far as favorite accessories, mine are:

1. Easily number one choice; Giessele DMR High Speed trigger!

2. CWS System from Superior Shooting Systems.

3. Flatwire buffer spring also from Superior.

4. Burris Signature Zee Rings

5. Hogue Grip

6. Badger Ord. Tac Latch

Hangtime.

ETA: The Bill Springfield reference is in response to what Trashcan posted for the $35.00 trigger job. If you asking for a link to the 15 minute trigger job, Google used to bring it up if you entered "15 minute trigger job". Sorry, if I misunderstood your request for a link.

On mine, he got rid of the 90% of the stock creep and the break is very nice. I don't have any way to measure the poundage of the trigger but it is WAY better than it was when it was stock. From where I'm sitting, it was well worth the money and his turn around was about 7 days. I would recomend his work. I dont have a link but as stated by some here his name is Bill Springfield and he's searchable on ar15.com.
