what is your favorite recurve

The 190gr field points are just some generic ones I found at 3 Rivers archery, I havent shot any broadheads yet but I was going to get some 190gr Woodsman glue on heads.

I plan on trying out 150gr tips also to see if they get a little more speed and fly as well. The bow is 77lbs at 28" draw and with 11/32" cedar shafts and 190gr tips the arrow sure hits the target hard.

I grew up on compound bows so I have a lot of practicing to get to where I am comfortable hunting with it.

Wensel woodmans, nice broad heads. Can be a little tough to sharpen. My Magnus 2 blades sharpen fast and razor sharp. But my buddy shoots the wensels and loves them.

I can't shoot anymore because of a shoulder injury 10 years ago, but my favorite was a Bighorn TD that Fred Asbell built for me.
I shot Magnus and Zwickey heads on tapered cedar shafts that I fletched with wild turkey feathers.
I really miss it.

Mine is the 45lb Bear super grizley that my dad gave me as a hand me down when he got his his newer bow.
My dad actually bought this particular bow the week I was born and I plan on giving it to my oldest son as well when he is ready for it and I am ready for something else.
I love using traditional gear....it gets some strange looks at some of the local 3D shoots with most guy's using super sweet looking modern compounds....all 4 of my kids shoot recurves as well.

Someday I wish to make my own Osage self bow like the one pictured on the first page...man that looks sweet and I bet it shoots great! Congrats to the owner!

Sounds good to me. Trad gear is awesome.
