what is your longest kill shot on a critter?

Mine are
300 yards on coyote 300wsm (missed one at 750 once by inches .243)
275 yards on a sage rat .17hmr
80 yard elk with bow
My deer have all been close for I don't live in an area where long shots are required.
 
500yds first round hit and kill on a Groundhog while doing a hunting video. Used a 243 SPS Varmint with 70gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips.
 
Shot my last bull elk with my 45/70 at just a smidgen over 500 yards.
Shot a Antelope at just a bit over that with the same gun but it took several "Windage" shots first.
Both more like an educated guess then honed skill.
 
This past October I was fortunate enough to kill a Bighorn Sheep at 680 yards on the first shot. My longest shot to date on anything other than targets.

I was shooting my Specialized Dynamics AR-10 in .260 Remington topped with a Vortex Razor 5-20 HD scope. Shooting 139 grain Lapua Scenar bullets.


 
350 for a pronghorn, 325 on a coyote. The most impressive IMO was a 200+ yard coyote that I shot standing in the off hand position, no support.
 
782 on a coyote. .308 with 185 gr Berger, a tad over 26 MOA dialed into scope, hit her on third shot.

Longest first shot kill was around 525 with .243 also shooting VLD's.
 
Lasered 430 yard running coyote. Have a couple more fox and coyote that far too just didn't have the range finder handy. Have a whole bunch more misses!

350yds on coyote

Yesterday at unknown ranges had bullet strike snow 7yds past/under coyotes chest(650yds). Second try hit 2 yds past/under chest at lazered 810yds.

With my gun and load now with kestral I shoot decent "if" I know the range.
 
I can't compete with you guys. Hahaha

My longest shot coyote was 256 yds w/.223, in Sept. 2006.
Longest whitetail was in the 375-400 yd range, w/.243, in Dec. 1992.
 
Not very far compared to most of yall.
I've shot a deer and a coyote at 275 yards,several prairie dogs at 300 or better but I don't think I've hit very many much further than that,that I can remember.

I shot a skunk from 130 yards with a .22 revolver last year and a jackrabbit from 93 yards with the same gun a few weeks ago.I'll be honest though it took 12 shots before I finally hit the skunk and 3 to hit the rabbit so luck had alot to do with it I guess.Not the furthest shots ever but I thought it was fairly decent for a handgun.

all good honest posts imo, i expected some to be along the lines of " 1245 yrds dead run coyote, 17 hmr..." lol....as for me 371 yrds coues.... irony---- i missed 1 last year at the exact same yardage....chalkin it up to different/new rifle.....lol
