What kind of gloves??

down to 32deg or so...i use thin deerskin roping gloves (who sells em for $7/doz???)....REI sells MOUNTAIN HARDWARE fleece liners good for real crisp temps...NOMEX are good plus they'll protect ur hands if you AR guys overheat a forearm....

I went to the mountains to call over the long weekend. I was fine with my Heatrac gloves on the first morning with temps at 16 degrees. The only thing I do not care for is the bulk. I then went to the local hunt/fish store and found some "Seirus Innovation" gloves. They are almost like neopreme and there is no bulk, thinner than most unlined leather gloves. Bought a pair of them and wore them Sunday morning with the temp at 11 degrees. They worked great, only problem I can see with them is the only color they had available was black and they are almost a glossy black. May have to try camoing them a little bit.

I'm with OldNo7 on this one. I discovered the army surplus gloves and won't be without them. I have a pair in every coat I wear. They are a wool/nylon blend. They are not real good in a strong wind, but if it gets too cold I wear one pair inside of another. Used to cost me $2.50 and now have gone up to $3.50. I won't leave home without them and I hunt in some pretty cold weather.

I have a pair of fingerless glove-mitts, and have hunted successfully in -35 F with the use of hand warmers in the mitten part, and still could pull out my trigger finger for a shot.

BUT THEY ARE WEARING OUT, AND I CAN'T FIND GOOD REPLACEMENTS!

Ok, I've tried the neopreme fingerless glove-mitts, and the dang things tear EASY. My hands might sweat in them with some fast walking, and then I can't get 'em off, so they tear when I pull at them....haven't tried them in realy cold weather, and in a set, its kinda late to be changing gloves.

You find a pair, please post where you found them!

under armour has one like mechanics there realy nice no matter what temp is .you have great feeling in them.have a pair for probley over a year and hold up great.

I have a pair of "seirus" gloves, kinda like under armour material, very thin but effective. My best friend is pocket warmers the disposable ones especially when trout fishing and your hands get wet.

Checked out the "Seirus" gloves at a sport's store in town, they didn't carry anything big enough, I think that brand runs one size too small. Read the reviews on REI website, most said they absorb water like a sponge.

Why are glove makes so hung up on "black"?
