Its a flat pint with a concave base. It seems to bea happy medium between HP and Cast performance wise. But i have only tried on non-game media.

Everything that Speer says about them here is true. They will even retain a very high amount of weight when pushed hard out a 444 Marlin. I broke both shoulders of a 300 lb. black bear with this bullet. It was a bang-flop kill. BIG hole. Bullet still weighs 244.3 gr. That is over 90% weight retention. Really hard to beat that kind of performance in an economically priced bullet. Or any bullet, for that matter.......

Another interesting fact is that there was another bear hanging right next to mine at camp. Similar size/weight. It was shot with a 450 Marlin. 350 gr Hornady factory loads. When skinning them, everyone was remarking about the wound channel/bullet performance as evidenced on my bear. Nobody said a word about the hole/wound channel in the bear next to it.

The 300gr Uni-Cor is another oustanding Speer bullet.......
