What profession do you claim?

I do just about everything there is except electrical. Right now I farm and that includes anything under the sun. (keeping yotes away from the neighbor's cat is not excluded). I really like to weld and anything that is connected to the profession.

You mean the Care Bears tour wasn't sold out? Dang, that explains why we weren't able to scalp any of those tickets we swiped.
 
Retired from steel mill in 94 (forced out)had almost 27 years in. worked as union laborer since 96. Have called yotes the last 4 or 5 years plan on doing a lot more calling in the future.
 
I've been a meatcutter since 1964 except for the last 18 months, been trying my hand at stock trading (My timing leaves something to be desired) so looks like I'm going to have to find where the heck I put those knives! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Im a machinist at a local job shop here in Richmond Va. been in the trade since 1985, been a journeyman since 91-92.
The pay is fair I reckon, the bill collectors and banks get most part of it. The work is interesting most the time, unless its one of those fine "whole lot of piece" jobs that takes every bit of your nerve to keep right no matter how good all your tools are. Times are getting tight though, work is getting harder to come by so the boss is telling us. Oh yeah , he (the boss)is driving a new sports car though lol.

I studied architecture but have spent the last 11 years working for an electrical engineering firm in Anchorage.

Would still like to get back into architectural design one of these years. I designed and am currently building an addition on my house, added an 1170 sqft second story to a ranch style house.
 
I am a Mechanical Engineer by original education, but lately managing Customer Service and Quality as Group Quality Director of the African subsidiary of listed British engineering company Howden plc.
I would also like to retire, but cannot afford to, not yet. So, while still working, I take my job serious and enjoy indoctrinating the principles of excellence into people's minds.

I am currently an Area Manager for a Cellular Phone Company.

I am a father...for the first time. I am now looking forward to passing on the "art" of calling and trapping, and the "skill" of shooting to another generation. What my father did for me, I hope I can do for mine.

I reflect now upon my father, one of the greatest men I know, and realize he wasn't perfect, but like the old hunting rifle in the corner that is scared up and has iron sights, he was reliable and always right on target.

In the past, I have been a paintball shop owner, a correctional officer, a technical analyst for a computer component company, and a professional student. BTW, I know how to cut meat and have an A. of S. in meat science. I lived on a ranch and have been a country boy all of my life.

I have a custom woodworking buisness. Built-in furniture, cabinets, and been building tradeshow exhibits for the last 18 years.
For fun I make turkey box calls and might start spinning a few P.calls. I've desgined a camping table that folds up into a suit case. If anyone is inerested I'll send you pics and you can build your own. (no cost) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
Since I saw only one other bldg inspector listed, I guess I'll chime in--Substandard and dangerous building inspector for the local city. The good news is that I have only 30 days left until retirement and move to Iowa. May start a home inspection business if I get bored or even hire out as a consultant but mostly just playing with my toys and kicking back!!
