What remington model 600's had the fancy wood stock and vented ribs?

I have seen these Dog bolts available in the 350 Rem Mags only so far. Is this a Mohawk? A 660? Did they offer the multi-colored stocks and vented ribed rifles in any other calibers? I always run into the plain wood ones or ones with non vented ribs and would like to find one of the fancier ones but would like to know what to look and or ask for when visted gun stores.

The Laminated stock was only on the magnum model. The vent rib is only on the 600, the Mohawk and the 660 had plain barrels. When I bought mine (1966) the only model availible was the 600 short barrel with vent rib, I had the rib removed and the stock reshaped. I think the 20" barrel 660 had to be the best one made.

Whats considered a fair price on a magnum carbine? I am assuming only the 350 Rem Mags had both the features I am looking for. Did they offer any special runs with laminated stocks with the non magnum cabine models at the time?

I used to own one of these back in the 70's and it was in 35 Remington and it was new in the box, wish i had keep it because the 35 Remington are very hard to find in the Model 600. Mine had the vent rib which was made from plastic and they would warp if you set the rifle near any heat source. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There was also a 6.5 Mag that had the laminated stock just like the 350 Mag. The other calibers had regular stocks. Fun gun to shoot and for woods carry. The plastic trigger guard gets funky over the years and machined ones are available. The rib was plastic also and that can be replaced in metal. The rib screws are very hard to find and Remington does not have any.
