Ok I am waiting on my gun to get when it does I am going to need a scope I want one with turrets like it to shoot out to 3-400yards with no hold over but not spend a ton of money on anyone got any good ones

Take a look at the Leupold 4.5-14x, with the Varmint Hunter reticle... It 'zero's at 300 yards and has hash marks taking it out to 600 yards....Hold 'center of mass' for those shots out to 300 yards and the small rise of the bullet for a .204 will still keep you in the kill zone, under 300..

topped mine with a nikon buckmasters 6X18X40 with the nikonplex, around $350. Sighted in dead on at 200 with hornady v-max 40 grain , my two longest shots this year are 367 and 385, simple cross hairs are my pick.

I like the Weaver Tactical 3-10 mil/mil scope from Midwayusa they are on sale right now for $300. I like to better than the previously mentioned Buckmaster 6-18.

The one awesome thing about this scope is that the reticle matches the turrets, basically if you miss the target or your intended point of aim if you spot it in the scope use the reticle to measure how many mils you were off by and plug that number into the turret on the scope.
Ex: shooting at a target, you miss your point of aim, you were roughly 1.5 mil low and .5 left, plug those into your scope turrets and you should hit dead center or darn close.

All good scopes.... what are you mainly using the rifle for if it's little critters the more glass you have the better... long range I like more glass too.... if they only made a 3 x 24 lol lol lol

Smith144, No, it looks like this:

The actual picture is much clearer, but it fuzzed when I enlarged it..As stated, the "zero" is at 300 yards and each hash mark takes it another 100 yards for drop compensation to 600 yards...

You can range the Prairie Dog by placing it in the area between the short bottom horizontal line and the 600 yard mark,, If it fits between those, you know it's past 300 yards and if the head is above the 600 yard line, then it's 300 yards, or closer, depending on how much is showing above it..There is another setting on the power ring for larger sized Varmints, like Groundhogs..

I think the scope should match the general feel of the rifle. If it is a 24 inch bull barrel with a fixed stock and rifle length handguard, it should have a big scope on it. If it is a 16 inch lightweight it should have a more reasonably sized scope on it. My coyote rifle is a 16 inch lightweight so I have a 3x9 (or 10x) on it and it fits the platform, on my Varmint rifle I have a 6x24 on it. David Tubbs says that the average shooter can not shoot over 16x very well and I take that to heart. The Leupold mentioned in the first reply is a great recommendation. If your budget does not allow it, the Nikon 5x15 is a great lower cost option.

My .204 AR sports a Sightron S2, 4-16x mil dot that works really well for longer range shooting animals that are prone to quick or erratic movement..

The Leupold scope I referenced earlier in on my CZ 527 .204..
