What to choose for a deer hunting AR

Now just need to save a few pennies. Thanks guys for the suggestions.

You got er figured out. Wise choice^^^

Why not that R-15 .243. That is more then enough for the yardage he's shooting ???? I have shot the 6.8 and didn't really care for it. The one that I shot wasn't that accurate past 150 yards.. IMHO

6.5 Grendel so you can use the same bullets or
Bushy, socom, or beowulf because you are shooting under 100 yards. Do you have a .45 pistol you reload for?

I see no reason to go with the 6.8

i got 223, 6.5grendel and a 450 bushmaster. i have killed deer with all of them. the 450 puts them down the fastest and groups great out to 200.
my 6.5 and 450 uppers are both right under 4 lbs with no optics on my calvary arms lower the whole gun is under 6 lbs.

Kinda what I was thinkin, the ole 6.8 hater crowd seems to be pretty vocal the last couple of weeks.

In my creedmoor I shoot the 140 gr bullets. I would assume that the grendel would have a little trouble with the 140's. 120's didn't shoot as well and I sold off the 120's in the classifieds here.

The 6.8 is looking real good. What bullets would work well? I was thinking the 110 gr pro hunters or the 120 gr SST.
