what to sit on intsead of snow

I use a seat similar to the predator quest, i like too have back supprot and most of the time i lean up against a Yucca plant and the high back keeps the Yucca from poking through my jacket.

For years, I used some older "stadium seats" (for use on the bleachers @ games) that have folding backs. Still have a couple pair of them.
Then, about 10 years ago, I switched to "turkey seats" w/folding legs & no back support.

Finally, about 6 years ago, while @ a garage sale, I found an old Fenwick "Fisherman's seat". It was still like new, & only a couple dollars, so I bought it.
It's convenient, since it's not only a stool, but I can store my lanyard of calls; my facemask/gloves; extra ammo; ect., inside of it.
Possibly not the easiest to carry, although it has a handle in the lid/seat.
And I've always toyed w/idea of putting some foam on the seat, for those extra-long stand waits.
But, considering I'm overweight, & have both bad back & knees, it is a lot better then trying to get down/up off the ground, like I used to.

Stool sits about 16" high, seat's approx 12" x 7" wide.......

After seeing huntsman22's "milk stool", I remember when he was making it & posting pics.
But, I had forgotten about it.
For something "light" & simple to carry/use, I think it's a great idea.
I just might have to make a version for myself, one of these days...although much stouter, w/bigger seat.LOL

Just got my predator quest seat in the mail today. I have used stadium seats for the past few years and liked them. Was hoping this one would be a little nicer and camo. The cushion is nicer than my others but not as much support in the back as i was hoping. Better than my Coleman but about the same as my Shakespeare. Plus it cost around 73 bucks with shipping. If you do a search for beard buster ez chair it is the same seat as the predator quest just different camo and 20 bucks cheaper. Wish I had known that before. I think the seat will work out fine just a little overpriced. But I do like Les' show so I guess I don't mind supporting him a bit. Lol

I use the Bunn saver pad from HS.I'm not sure if they're still available but there was a nice tree seat that just strapped on.I might look for one as the snow piles up.

It's pretty tough to beat the price on carpet samples. Bought some at a rummage sale for a quarter a piece. Always carry several in the truck in case one gets soaked. Don't take much space and weigh close to nothing. I cover a lot of ground on foot and weight and ease of carry are important. Dale

Just ordered the Avery power seat from macks prairie wings. $31 with shipping. Should be here tomorow. I'll do a little write up on iit when I get it.

i just ordered a browning tracker + xt . my turkeey vest didn't work real well with my magpul sling, didn't fit well under or over the vest. now i can wear my sling, put pack over it, set up, then sit in/on pack.

Yes I agree with this!! But as I get older the harder it is to get up out of the Lounger,I kind have to roll out of it!! LOL

Me too, I love the Turkey lounger. Comfortable, sometimes have to roll out though. I find that I spend more time on stand if I am comfortable.

got my browning tracker + xt today. it is a stadium seat with mesh side panels and backpack straps on the back of the seat back. 2.25in of padding on seat bottom. wear it in with gear inside, decoy, e-caller, maybe turkey seat. get to spot, set up, sit in seat. also been looking at the alps turkey chair-mc, more comfort. it's like a turkey lounger but folds flat and no arms, i dont fit well in chairs with arms. 40 bucks.

Don't think i'd wanna' hunt them without my stadium seat customized by attaching the side straps closer to the seat and a waist snap installed for hands-free carry--
