I use archery for bucks and the .308 for doe patrol. We have to take out so many it just doesn’t pay to use archery equipment. Bullets are cheap, arrows and broadheads not so much, lol.
I did buy a CZ Alpha in 6.5 PRC that I want to try on the power line.
Isn't shooting power lines illegal?![]()
That looks like a fun-filled fall, with plenty of rifle diversity. I'm excited to see some reports on these hunts! After 22 years of applying, I drew a Colorado Bull Moose tag. The rifle will be a 1966 Model 70, in 30-06, which my Dad bought new and left to me when he passed. I have been using it as my elk rifle, and now moose. A 168gr Barnes TTSX pushed by RL19 for my load.
I also drew a Mule Deer buck tag, and will use my Harrington & Richardson 300Ultra rifle, in 270win, that I bought new in 1969. A Barnes 130gr TTSX with RL22 will be the load.
To top it off, I also drew a buck antelope tag, and I'll use a T-C Icon in 243, with 80gr Barnes TTSX and H4350.
