Just wondering what’s everyone using too scan with for coyote hunting?

Ive ran alot of different scanners and im still using my Pulsar Telos XP50.

I really like the image and battery life is amazing just wish it was alittle smaller unit.

Ive ran several if i can remember them all
Pulsar helion 2 XP50 640
Pulsar axion xq35 lrf 384
Bering Optics phenom 640
Iray Finder 35 lrf 640
Agm seeker 25mm 2.5x 384
Agm Taipan v2 15mm 1.5x 384 wide FOV

I've only used a Pulsar Helion 2 XP50 Pro (640) and now a Pulsar Telos LRF XP50 (640). The image quality on the Helion and Telos seems about the same to me. The battery does last quite a bit longer on the Telos and I use the LRF more than I thought I would for checking ranges around the stand location before calling. The size of the Telos doesn't bother me.

Used the original Bering Hogster 25r for 4 yrs (384) and went to the Rix st6 (640) early this year. I had NO issues with the hogster, just had some $ burning a hole in my pocket :). I only got 1 good eye so use a selfie stick scanning and navigate/recover with a Night Eyes red/white headlight. The st6 is a really nice, small (helmet mountable), clear unit and I think the green hot and iron hot is easier on my eye. 18650 Battery lasts all night in Jan.

The size doesn’t bother me either just be nice too be alittle more compact thats all.

I like the image real well

I use this one. Have it helmet mounted currently. Love the wide FOV but it’s definitely too big for my liking.
Yes we have a AGM taipan V2 15mm 1.5x base as a spare or close range scanner.

Wide field of view is nice!

Works better than scanning with a rifle on a tripod for my brother as well!

AGM Taipan V2 19-384 -2-16x,
Decent clarity at base magnification for target ID out to 150 yds, which for where I hunt, is more than adequate. Photos & recording with sound, wi-fi, good battery life, 5 year warranty.

I have used the older Pulsar Helion XP28 for years. Superior FOV. Bought the Iray Zoom ZH38 as it has identical FOV and also the capability of a Helion XP50 which I also had. That is my backup if the 28 goes bad. Also have a Helion XP 38 I can move the 28 lens to if I have to. I don't know why all these scanners have such narrow FOV's. Unless you have some pretty consistent wide open spaces for coyote hunting it's like looking through a straw when scanning with these higher power small FOV scanners.

I like that Dave!! If I purchase another, that would be it.

I have the AGM Clarion 640 as my scope. The handheld ReachIR LRF 35-640 is even better than the Clarion in terms of image quality.

15 years ago, I spent $8000 on the FLIR Recon 24. The ReachIR makes the FLIR look like garbage.

I used a Bering 640 Phenom for 4 years, and bought the Iray Rico 640 Micro last year for the bigger FOV.

I'm curious about this.
The Iray shows a field of view of 17.5°×14°, while the Bering shows 17° x 13°. Certainly, that is larger, but not substantially. However, it seems like I've seen you say in another thread that you found it to be a big improvement. On paper, the Phenom shows to have one of the largest FOV for a base 2x scanner. What am I missing?
