Whats Everyones Favorite Thermal Scanner too use?

I never got the blindness/ blurry vision with the other scope last year. I’m going to try it on the left eye the next time I can go out. Unfortunately, I’m driving back to my state and our season doesn’t open for a few more months. I cleaned house in Nevada this past week though.
Only got one eye that works. Never experienced that with 384 (Bering r25) or 640 scanner going to 640 scope or my old 384 scope with 384 scanner. On the gun I almost always use wh hot except REALLY dense fog ( (bl hot). I do like green or iron hot on my rix st6 scanner. Brightness is set low. As said, try diff color reticles (red is by far best for me) and maybe see the eye doc😉. I do figure you have the eye piece diopter adjusted OR it got twisted out of adjustment—tape is a wonderful thing.

Let us know how you like it. I'm thinking about getting a Titan T6 myself. Been running a RIX K3 for a couple years and really like it but I have been looking to upgrade without breaking the bank. I like the looks of the ergonomics of the Titan, looks easier for button operation, that in my opinion is one of the down falls I have trouble with sometimes on the K3. Have a good one.
I definitely will. I have messed with it quite a bit already, but just haven't hunted it. Not sure there is anything that could beat it at that price tag.

Ok so I finally got some more time using my scanner (agm Taipan v2 384) and nee scope combo (nocpix H50R). Previous the Nocpix scope in had a 384 AGM Varmint scope and never had an issue with my eyes focusing.

With this new scope and scanner combo, my right eye (scanning and shooting eye) is having a hard time getting focused when switching from the scanner to the scope. It cost me two separate coyotes the other night because I couldn’t even see the reticle. I turned my brightness down on both and still have the problem.

Anyone else ever have this? I think the simple answer is to get a 640 scanner because the Nocpix image is so crisp! Just not when I switch from my scanner.

I can't say that I ever had the issue that you speak of, Duhhh. I scan with left eye and shoot with right. My theory is that all the time spent scanning is (and does) affect your night vision. I mean I can barely see with my left eye when I drop my scanner and just look out into the night. I want my shooting eye to be fresh when I get in the scope.

I hope you figure things out. If you're set on same eye scan and shoot I'd listen to guys like jmeddy that obviously have figured out a system that works. My best results for my vision come with Red or blue reticle colors. Occasionally the White reticle seems fine when in Black Hot mode, but I still prefer the Blue over that. Absolutely hate the Green or Yellow reticle colors as I cannot seem to reduce the flare/blur with my vision.

I guess on thing to mention, that I have noticed, I shoot a RIX optic with occular zoom. I set my diopter focus for clarity at base mag / no zoom. When I zoom in (occular) my crosshairs do blur and need diopter adjustment to focus them. Conversation with RIX Tech support about this confirms it isn't just me or my optic. I also have astigmatism which could also play into this somewhat.

I don't believe keeping your eye "fresh" is a concern. Once you transition to the scope, you could be minutes behind it waiting for a shot, so there goes your fresh vision anyway.

Right or wrong, I scan & shoot with my dominate (right) eye, & have no issues doing so. At least I'm only blind in one eye til I get the night vision back.:D

So I upgraded my scanner to the Rix ST6 and have it helmet mounted. So far, I have not had the same issue that I had with the AGM. I still have the AGM and have run a couple comparisons against the ST6 to see if I still have the issue. The AGM for some reason still gives me a blurry eye. The Rix does not. I’ve screwed with the settings on both and don’t get the blurry eye with the Rix. The blurry vision is only when I switch from the AGM to the scope. While using the AGM, everything seems clear. It’s weird because I never had the issue until I switched to the Nocpix H50R.

I have to get my vison checked every year for work and have 20/20 vision. Not that it really matters but I’ve never had any sort of eye issues or sensitivities.

Either way, the Rix is badass and is far superior for a helmet mounted scanner than the AGM. I’m still keeping the AGM for a vehicle mounted unit or a loaner.

My feelings exactly when both eyes worked

Can't imagine not having a backup.😧
Yea Al, it has been quite an adjustment. Started deteriorating March '23 and many specialists, tests, scans, etc. later none of which could name a reason. Been about a year now with basically nothing. No one will convince me that Lymes didn't contribute.
Anyhow, you gotta take what is thrown at you and make applesauce. ;)

Well that sucks. Hopefully your dominate is still the good one.

Just got back from making one set. One coon, one grinner, and had a pair coming down the hill at 450 kinda paralleling my position at the 15 minute mark. never saw them again sitting for another half hour. Had a couple other places in mind, but the wind just isn't right, so I called it a night.

Without a doubt, the most versatile, easiest-to-handle thermal scanner, with the best performance in thick fog, and the best value for money, is the Infiray Finder FH35R V2 (2-8X mag). I've tried many of them... if you want maximum detail even at long distances, you should definitely upgrade to the Nocpix Vista H50R (4-16X mag), but considering that almost all of you American hunters, and almost all of us European hunters, have a thermal riflescope for shooting with a 50mm lens, the Infiray FH35R V2 is the smartest and most usable choice in the vast majority of hunting situations.

Just a quick update on the Titan T6.........this thing is phenomenal. The image quality is so good that I truly can't believe it's listed as a 640. Button layout and functions are incredibly simple and intuitive. Battery life is fantastic. Spent quite a bit of time behind it messing around and hunted it the last couple nights. Can't say enough good about it. Nothing else in this price class even comes close.
