What's our some of you guys favorite 243 AI loads for coyotes?

Thanks for all the help guys! It pretty much is going to boil down to which ever bullet shoots the best in my rifle but we our going to try a few diffrent loads and bullets to see what works best.

David ..... That post above is too funny! I read it at dinner last night and almost shot ice tea out my nose when I got to the " pixie dust " part. Just for the record I sure am glad I have a friend like you to help me sort threw all these loads and find a good one for my gun. Theirs no way I could get it done without your knowledge and help. Thanks for always sharing your loading bench with me and spending countless hours telling me all those crazy hunting story's ... Lol ... I don't care what they say about you coon killing Mississippi boys y'all our allright in my book...

Seth - I will start with H4895 with the 55's/65's.

Had good luck with it in several calibers and I buy it in 8lb jugs.

H414 is worth a look also.

243AI with heavy bullets, H4350 and R17 will both get a look.

Having David help you work up a load puts you way ahead in the game.

Take care
Kelly

Well guys we have 3 diffrent loads loaded up and ready for the range this weekend. We ended up loading 6 shells for each load and here's what we decided on!

1. Win Fire Formed Brass
CCI BR Primers
75 grain V max
43 gr of VV N 150

2. Win Fire Formed Brass
CCI BR. Primers
68 gr Burger Match
45 gr of Win 760

3. Win Fire Formed Brass
CCI BR Primers
70 gr Nosler Balistic Tip
54 gr of Superformance

We shall see how they shoot all the bullets our loaded real close to the lands. It's going to be neat to see what they can do and we will chrono them to see what kind of speed were getting. We still have the 87 grain V max and the 55-58 grain bullets if these don't perform well but the first load I posted put 7 shots under 1 inch but I know this gun can do better then that. I'll post results when we get a chance. God bless Skinner

Ok guys here is the best group I shot the other day at the range.

this is a 4 shot group at 100 yards!

48 gr of H 414
Win Case
CCI BR Primers
70 gr Nosler BT
3673 FPS

I'm pretty happy with this load for now. All the other loads shot under a 1 inch but this one was the best load. But here is a neat fact we did load 6 shells with 54 gr of Superformance powder and a 70 gr Nosler and got 1/2 inch accuracy and 3875 FPS for speed.... That's smoking fast for the 70's out of a 24 inch barrel. We're headed out this weekend to try out this load on some coyotes and see what they can really do.
