What's the secret to the Tally Ho?

Bill,
Maybe I got lucky. Now you have my curiosity stirred up. I guess I will stop by Sportsmans's Warehouse tomorrow and buy another Tally-Ho. But my Tally-Ho and Critr Call both blow about the same. And I just got two open-reed calls from Primos that are the Randy Anderson signature series and they are almost identical to the Critr Call and blow just the same.

I bought my Critr Call a few years ago and it was sold under the Wayne Carlton label as a Critr Getter. However, it looks just like the Critr Call. Maybe he was having Major Boddicker do a private label for him. Just a guess.

Bill,
I will be watching my mail box for the tally ho. Hey, do ya think we can make old "Z" jealous? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Sorry Z, the devil made me say that.

JEALOUS? Z's the one that can make a Tally Ho sing, I'm the one with a collection of one legged cloths pins! I'm jealous. My call will be headed to you shortly.

Bill

Z. Just a couple quick bits of trivia:

Boddicker sold call parts to Carlton in 1987 to be marketed as deer calls using 0.075-inch reeds.

In 1988 2,000 grey PeeWees were made for Carlton as cow elk calls. Only a very few grey ones were offered under the RMWP label.

There was a brief period when Carlton used the word Crit'R Getter, but that was short-lived.
