What's your favorite trapping gun?

I'm looking at getting either a new blackpowder rifle or a handgun for trapping. Not sure which way I'll end up going but I want to hear what you think is the perfect trapping gun. I'm just getting my feet wet this year with trapping. It won't be seeing all kinds of abuse as I won't be running a long line. I'll be trying for coon and of course the predators that have me fascinated.
I like the option of swapping the cylinder on a single six and having the option of .22LR or mag but it seems to be a little bigger than I would like. Browsing around at Cabelas the other day I saw a Ruger Bearcat Shopkeeper and man did that catch my eye. I like it!
I've always been a semi-auto handgun guy but could go either way for this gun. It wouldn't hurt to have a revolver and somehow it just seems to fit trapping a little better than a semi auto.
Whatever I bought would end up doing double duty as a plinker for the kids and I to have fun with.

Single Six here too. I had wanted one for over 25 years and finally bought one and carried it last years. Wish I had one sooner, on another note the Ruger Mark II, Nylon 66, Glenfield/model 60 and the 1910 Montgomery Ward single shot.22 all did the trick too. With that said use what you have or buy what you have always wanted either way days on the trap lines are always memories.

Single Six for me. I'd really like to try on of them bird's head Bearcats sometime.. That would probably be a slick little trapline gun.

Ruger SR22 with a laser for me. I find the compact size very nice and the laser comes in handy for when I do some coon calling.

I have a beretta U22 Neos. I got it last year and like it for the trap line. I just wish I did not "practice" with it so much last year. I am about out of ammo!

I like single six, definitely hard to beat. I bought a new trapping/small game/plinking gun this year and got a Ruger MKIII Target which I really like. A friend of mine does custom leather work and builds saddles and she is making me a chest rig right now for it. I went with a chest holster so it would be within easy reach at all times even when wearing waders.

Still haven't decided what to get...another week or two before everything primes up around here so keep the suggestions coming!
RePete love those fur and gun pics! Looks like a good size cat.
