What’s your go to predator rifle?

Thanks. I have held off taking mine out not knowing the terminal performance, since properties I hunt are tight quarters. I’m going to load some up for my next hunt.

Threw together a 22 ARC. Went out once, have yet to draw blood

This thread just won’t die. Beware to all those that read…this site will not claim responsibility for money you spend after talking with these killers. No one will explain to your wife or significant other why you “needed” another rifle. Y’all just beware and read at your own discretion.

Since my post in Aug ‘24, my “now” coyote rifle is a Ruger Go Wild .243 shooting 87gr VMax with the iRay Bolt and another Banish 30. This is it! It stops here!!! This will be the only rifle I buy for coyotes. I am a bigger man now and can control my urges and will no longer be influenced by anyone here.

**That last part was just incase my wife sees this***

Started with a 223 AR and it was OKish, went to a 308 bolt gun which didn’t last long…last few years has been a CVA Cascade in 243 with handloads which is a laser. We night hunt with thermals. Hunting buddy is a 22-250 guy and that has served him well also. Wanting to try 22ARC to get back to the AR platform again though.

I just bought my son-in-law a .243 for a Yote / Deer gun. Great caliber!

I’m back to liking my 204 Ruger, w/Shaw 20” barrel. But pretty much due to my new found love for the new AGM 640 thermal. The rifle does shoot flat and some nice small groups also but I was thinking of rekindling a relationship with my 243. Seeing as how the thermal has a QD mount and I did get the ARCA plate stuck nicely to the bottom of the 243, I suppose an affair is not out of the question.

I've used the 222 so far this season but yesterday took the 350 Rem Mag out loaded with 158gr JHPs over a pinch of shotgun powder. No luck, had cow troubles again. Seems I'm a magnet cantankerous cows. I'll keep playing with it untill it's blooded.
