What’s your pick for the best AR trigger?

I don't have any experience with any others, but I've installed three RRA NM. I just installed a RRA Varmint on my DTech and it's my new favorite. Crisp break, no creep, fairly short reset.

I don't know if it's still made but I have an Armalite Tactical 2 stage in one of my rifles. It and the Rock River Varmint trigger are neck and neck for the best I have.

I shared thin in another post but I installed a timminey in my Grendel. I love the pull weight and the smooth pull but I get double taps if I don't follow through on the trigger pull

I have only heard good things about Geissele triggers. I looked them over a while back but they offered a bunch of different models and I couldn’t decide. I appreciate the help here I’m going to look into the Geissele hi-speed national match.

I have a buddy that is using a POF with enhanced finger placement. It is very unique in the ergonomics department. have any of you guys tried that one?

If you haven’t seen the POF enhanced finger placement trigger it looks almost backwards, but it forces you to extend your trigger finger and hold at the very bottom of the trigger. I have large hands and tend to have a difficult time placing the pad of my index finger on the trigger of any AR. This awkward looking trigger actually feels much better than the triggers I’ve had. The drawback is that it is a 3.5lb trigger. It is a world of difference over the factory trigger but not as light as I like.

So of the triggers mentioned in this thread which ones are 1 stage? Ill never have a 2 stage ever again absolutely despise them. Shot the single stage timney quite a bit, other single stage contenders?

RRA NM and Varmint are 2 stage

Two Hiperfire 24Cs from Joeboboutfitters, and picked up an ECLipse from them last week. Made me giggle for the first 4 mags.

I've had both when I was still trying to make the 2 stage thing work. It just doesn't. My brain and my finger can't pull it off, didnt matter how much time I spent at the range working on it. I ended up selling my ars but looking to build a new one. Just gathering information about what's out there. Probably end up going the timney route anyways.

Sorry you don’t like a 2-stage trigger, but I can shoot 195+ out of 200 in Rifle league so I contribute this in part to the trigger.

Nice! I'm not ragging on them just a personal thing they don't work for me. Just perusing this thread trying to see whats really out there for single stage ar triggers.

I have several of the POF 3.5lbs. Straight triggers. After getting used to the straight blade, these are a great trigger. Several of mine break at 3pounds.

I also have a BTE trigger. This one rides in my target lower. "Breaks like a glass rod."

I also have a Lucas trigger from Predator Technology Group. Initially I did not like this one off the bench, because it telegraphed when it was going to break. I never noticed it in hunting situations and After a couple hundred rounds I can no longer feel the point right before it breaks, even from the bench.

All three of these are single stage.

I'm glad you mentioned the Lucas I had looked hard at that one quite awhile back before I sold my other ads. Could not remember what the name was but now that you mentioned it that's the one it was.
