When in the bush i like carrying my Colt Woodsman 4 inch. I had the NP-3 finish applied to this pistol . The Woodsman is light and easy to pack and if for some reason i get lost the Woodsman with 50 rounds of HP ammo would be a great weapon to live off the land with for a couple of days. I just feel more confortable with a handgun on my side. I have a number of carry guns i tote for two legged varmints but have always like the 22 lr for woods use. The 22 lr HP may be little but kills better than most rounds size for size. I wouldn't want to be the man on the recieveing end of a 37 gr HP. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif
Almost always have a Glock 23 with me.
I have gone afield with a S&W 60 a few times and have also carried a Ruger MkII 512 .22lr. If I remember correctly I still had the Glock when I was carrying the Ruger .22
