When Does the Season Start????????

Poor old Arkansas boys.....season this year opens Oct 1.....normally Sept 1, but for some reason this yesar it is Oct 1.....it runs to Feb 28th.,07......I am going to try to go to Oklahoma some in Sept though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

as soon as my elk hits the dirt. right now this year i'm teaching my dad to shoot bows then i'm calling elk for him in my honey hole when he can come down and anytime he can't i'm running to hog park to get one for my son and i.
my brother,dad,uncle,neice,and cousins doughter all drew tags in my favorite spot so i have alot of elk to get them on.
i'm normally a big muley hunter but this year i think i'll be packing a vidio camera and elk calls.
my son really wants a big muley this year{he has killed three big elk} so for deer i'm going to work on getting him up on one with his bow.
 
No season in Wyoming. I am usually an opportunistic coyote hunter during the summer and early fall, shooting the ones I see when I have a weapon in hand. I don't really start calling until after the big game seasons are done early in November and then hunt hard until it gets too muddy in the spring and the coyotes start rubbing (sometime in March). Last year I got a couple and shot at a couple more during the antelope and deer seasons, but didn't start seriously calling until the second week in November. I have heard people say that the fur is good during the months with an "R" in them, but they must have been from a colder climate than I am!

No season here and i have NEVER SHOT ONE,,but im going to wait till October or November to start calling because there is nothing like winter fur,,i remember when i was a young whipper snapper, catching big muskrats in Nov and Dec and when i took them off the stretcher i liked putting my hands inside up against the fur,it was soft and thick,but like i said i have never shot a coyote but im going to try /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
