When technology meets a custom field rifle you get a Studio on a tripod.

And with regards to the tablet or phone mounted to the tripod

That was never meant to be utilized to take the shot.I would never take a shot on an animal unless I am shouldering my weapon

That was simply a method to allow you to scan the field while sitting back off of your.Weapon

In between calling

And hopefully eliminate the need to purchase. An expensive thermal pocket camera

Hey fellas ..
My apologies
I've had a bad week and no it wasn't just this post ..
It's been accumulative ..over multiple threads on multiple forums .

I take time ...precious time to post up
Things I'm tinkering with and creating in hopes that it helps others overcome
The same obstacles .

It seems the world is just overwhelmed with people who are jealous and besides benefiting from what I'm sharing

And enticing them to take the initiative perhaps use some of the methods

I get flack
Negativity
Overwhelmingly ..

It wears on you ..
And in the meantime I have my wife
Waiting on me to finish this home renovation
And you married guys know how that goes .

So my time is precious
And combine that with the fact I own a business and run that as a master home inspector..

So as the other member pointed out
All I want is hey šŸ‘‹ look at me ..

Lol šŸ˜† ummm yeah sure thing pal
Sounds a bit of a jealous comment

My threads are in an effort to offer ideas
Concepts etc..

So yeah take a look šŸ‘€
Maybe you'll benefit from it somehow ?

:ROFLMAO:I get it. I’ve definitely been known to fly off the handle too. When my ears start burning, that’s usually my warning sign that whatever I’m about to say or do probably isn’t the wisest choice—but here we are anyway.

Thought the Apps with most scopes allow remote viewing? I know AGM does. I sync up to my phone while driving and just hold my scanner out the window to look around.
Unfortunately, some models out there do not have that ability

We're gonna have to wire them point to point with a cable

But the lack of some of those features is what helps them keep the price down
And they put their money in the sensors and areas where performance is the key

A lot of things going on with that setup, couldn't imagine dragging that abomination in and out of the truck doing 20 stands a night but hey if it works for you then rock on!
My sentiments exactly. As I stated earlier, too much tech for my way of doing things. Even if it was 5 stands a night I wouldn’t want to lug that stuff around. However, I am of the mindset that I’ll do what I do, you do what you do. Unless what you do somehow negatively impacts what I do, I could care less.

Shotinthedark did mention how and where he hunts. If it works for him, more power to him for achieving what he intended it to do.

My first thermal scope (AN/PAS-19) from the late 90's came as a kit with a small monitor and RCA cables.
Back then a portable thermal scanner wasn't the practical size or price of the scanners available today and I couldn't afford both as that 19 cost me an arm and two legs to acquire.
The 19 has a self adjusting Larue QD mount and I would remove it and scan using the monitor when it was really cold outside.
Beat the crap out of scanning with night vision or a red light.
Keep on keeping on.
