When to move dog proof traps for coons?

I have been trapping for a couple of years now, and was wondering if anyone moves a dog proof trap after they have caught a coon in it? I have used the search engine to try and find something but haven't. I have sets along a section of river, and have caught a couple coons but its been three weeks since my last coon. Any tips or thoughts would be very appreciated...

First is are they there? (fresh sign?) If their not there they can't be caught. Next, is it cold there? Coon will den up pretty hard when it gets cold. Once the cold sap "breaks" have your traps set! One thing I have noticed using DP's is once a coon has been caught, it is very hard to catch another one in the same trap circle. (Must be blood or animal waste that turns them away) I usually will move the trap up or down the trail if it's on one. If it's on a creek bank moving it 2-3 feet outside the catch circle seems to help.
