Roy Rogers was a regular guy, an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved kids. When they took down his museum I got one of Trigger's horse shoes, some of the wood siding and a few other goodies. All of it is now in a restaurant in Capitan for everybody to see. I went to his funeral, what an awesome site to behold. A black Clydesdale was pulling a black carriage down a dusty dirt road lined with thousands of people on it's way to a beautiful cematary back in the rocky joshua tree lined hills of Apple Valley. A fitting end to a great man who loved his desert.
