Where to find 30 gr 17 caliber bullets

Who is selling 30 gr 17 caliber bullets ? I've been using Bergerac ever since I bought my 17 Remington,, the gun came with 300 loaded rounds and I picked up a box of 200 at a gun show, but sadly I'll be running out before long,,,, and just found out that Berger doesn't offer the 30 gr bullets any longer,,,, so I'm in search of a alternative but would like to stay with 30 gr

Only option anymore are blackhole bullets, chan nagel or reeds. All three are reputable makers. I have no personal experience but will in the future after my stash of hammetts and kindler golds are gone.

I just contacted black hole and Blaine said that he's doing a run of 30s real soon. Let him know if you want some and he'll make sure he makes enough.

Mr Nagel said to get back with him in January or February, he's working on fixing his jacket problem and hopes to be up and running.

I just ordered some of the Reeds 29gr bullets. He has them on hand if you want to order some. They look good but I haven't shot any yet.

I loaded some of the Reeds 29 gr, but the range has been closed. Zero wind today I will try and throw together a target stand and see if I can shoot a test group.

Reeds 29gr just grabbed 6 brass necked sized, load same powder and charge. Bullet seated to same ogive measurements as my Woodchuck den load. Shot off bipod/prone in the snow. 101.5 yards on Sig kilo.

Yep. I have what should be a lifetime supply of the 25's from the last special run someone put together over on Saubier.

That's about how they did for me too. Two five shot groups over an inch. Was slightly horrified. Didn't know the rifle was even capable of shooting so poor. So I just put them back on the shelf.

Might be fine with some tuning? I have enough Gold and Nagels on hand I wasn't interested enough to try and find out.

I don't know what the cost was to get Berger to do the run. Whoever set it up took orders to get the number of boxes (bullets) needed for Berger to do it. A box of bullets ran pretty much what any other box of Bergers would run from memory. I just placed my order for what ended up being 10 boxes. I picked up a couple extra from guys that didn't need all they ordered. Actually found the original thread with the details.

I'm really not sure but seating depth and more jump is definitely what I would try first.

Anxiously awaiting a review on the blackhole.. i have some genco 29 but have not shot them yet. Anyone here have experience with those

I killed a dew dozen with Genco''s in my Mach IV years ago, no complaints. Still have a bunch of Chappie's 29's on the shelf, haven't ever tried them in the. 17P.

I have a variety of his bullets ranging from 22.5 to 29. Only ones i ever shot were the 22.5 out of my 17 hornet and they shot good but then he quit making bullets and so i stopped shooting them..
