Looking for a source for 7lb bags! Also for anyone who has loaded this stuff.....I'm looking for a hefty load in either 3" or 3.5" hulls for calling at night. Care to share your loads?

Good luck trying to find lead bb's for reloading. They are out there, but tough to find. Copper plated variety in that size I've never seen.

FYI, federal makes a 12 ga. 3" load in copper plated BB.

They are a heavy little load.

Sold under the name "federal premium wing shok magnum"

I had to custom order mine as nobody local had any on the shelf.

Federal's website would give you an item #.

Hi HandiMan,,I just registered here because I thought I may be able to help you a bit.
I have a bag of copper BB that weighs 5# on the bathroom scale......also a 5# bag of copper 2's. Had them since I used to reload for geese,,and then that and all lead was outlawed....so that tells ya how old it is.
But I would let you have it for whatever shipping is and a little extra for my time and travels.
I can't remember how I loaded them,,but I know I was using buffer in the shells also and they were only 3" mags. with power piston wads I think.
Pm me if you're interested.

This is my favorite 3" yote load:
Hull: Fiocchi 3" (www.ballisticproducts.com)
Primer: Fed. 209A
Powder: SR-4756 36.0 grs.
Wad Column: X12X (ballistic products), BP12 (ballistic products), .25" felt wad inside cup, mylar wrap inside cup, clear over shot wad (ballistic products)
Shot: Hard BB (ballistic products) 1 5/8oz.
Buffer: SDC enough to cover
Velocity: 1355fps. (Coil measurement)
Pressure: 10700psi (strain gauge)
Crimp: Roll crimp over the clear over shot wad.

This load is fast and patterns very well.
