Where to go to view the ultimate walking coyote sniping rifle?

I've handled a handful of BAT's. Own a small handful of Nesika's. Have owned a Panda, Shilen and a Hall. A Borden. Have handled Stiller's. Few others.

None of them were any more "smooth" than a Sako L579 I had for awhile. They all had other, far more important attributes in which they were each quite superior to the Sako though

.

BAT is the only one I wish I'd have built on that I didn't. My last custom project I wanted to use one but couldn't stand the 14 month wait to get one, so went another direction. Turned out, that project got back burnered and didn't happen for longer than that. Coulda, woulda, shoulda... The Nesika I ended up with, was a newer one under Dakota and just not as nice as the ones I have from Poulsbo that Glenn used to genuflect over each and every one.

A thin layer of flitz and five minutes will slick up all but the roughest actions. Clean it well and lube with hot stuff reel oil on the rails and the back of the lugs. Work the bolt a few times and wipe off. Repeat as needed but no flits on the lugs the second time unless you set your own head space.

Yep, Simichrome works well too.
JB Bore Paste really helps on the rougher ones.

I never would have confessed it had I not read it again... but I “broke in” my Montana bolt with JB.

orkan makes a good point about heavier guns being easier to shoot.
This one is pretty easy to carry, even for old folks like me.....

Yikes that's Nice! Judging by what I think that scope is, I would guess that isn't a Cabela's Xmas special purchase buy!

What are the specs of that little Darlin?

Although not the calling rifle I typically carry, but when I’m wanting to reach out, I take this one more times than
Banged still with it out to 1320 too

I do believe I have the same hammer. Stiletto t bone II. best hammer you can buy.

Smoothness is what everyone talks about, but as DAA alluded to, bolt lift, extraction method, ejection method, material, and other design features are what sets actions apart. Bolt lift, ignition, and ergo's being some of the most important. Some are happy with what I would call inferior products. I'm happy that they are happy. I have my own tastes. I don't expect anyone to understand those tastes. I don't expect anyone to respect them. ... but that's ok. It's for me to understand. No one else.
