I have been wanted to research moose hunting for a while and was thinking Canada so I wouldn't have to go through a drawing process. I have been told they run guided anywheres from $1500 on up?

Good Luck! Not sure there is one that won't flatten your wallet. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I guess I would head to Alaska rather than Canada. Not sure Americans are that welcome there but I'm sure our money is. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

get in shape and do it yourself. Try alaska you do not need a guide for moose. We saw a lot of huge moose come out of Kotzebou when we hunted caribou most were 60" plus largest 74". check out www.MAVRIKAIRE.COM hard hunt but cheap we did the caribou trip for aorund $2500 total with air from PA.

If you wanted to go to Canada, I would check out some of the operations in Newfoundland. Tons of moose and you will not find more hospitable people anywhere on the contenant. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Quebec has some cheep (unguided hunts), but from what I hear, the locals can be a problem if you are in "their area." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif
