Where's the best place to buy Mil-surp clothing?

Looked at some desert camo at the last gun show, but they did not have my size. I don't have a Army Navy store close by so thought there might be something on the WWW.

Natchez Shooters Supply has some field jackets, pants, hats, etc. in military camo colors. I don't know if it is Mil-surp, but I have purchased a couple of 6-color desert camo pants and a couple of the same color jackets that I am well pleased with. Here's a link to the desert camo stuff. If you want other camo colors you can just use the Search box at the top of the Web page.

Thanks Silverfox.

Thats what I was looking for. The 3 color should blend in great with the wheat fields and CRP around here.

If it's the old Army BDU's your looking for (Green, Black and Brown) I have lot's of old sets in a duffle bag sitting in this room. I am 6'5" 240lbs so you should be able to layer away ti'll your snug as a bug in a rug. I don't even mind shipping it to you from Korea if you can wait about the 10 days it'll take to get to you. Send me a PM if you want it.

However, I know your neck of the woods being from Orofino, ID. (about 1.5 hours southeast) and I think you could do better with commercial cammo, especially when snow hits the Palouse. I'd look at Natural Gear Evergreen and Winter sets. I have all the Surplus stuff you can have including the new digital ACU's and I wear Natural Gear. Their 3D stuff is top shelf and comes in all the XL XXL 2-3XL sizes big guys like myself need. It breaks up your outline like a Ghillie suit without the heat or weight. Here's a shot of me in my NG 3D suit on the Camas Prarie which if very similar to the Palouse, taken this year.

Just food for thought...

Blaze,

Thankyou for your service to our country.

You right on with the Natural Gear recommindation. I have a set of their snow coverups and a shirt. Since I am striving to be the cheapest SOB I can be, I figure desert 3 color is close enough. The stuff I found at the gun show was 5 or 10$ for a jacket.

This is what I was looking at.

I understand, however; "thrifty" sounds better than cheap SOB /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Unfortunatly that particular set of camo was in very short supply when it was issued to us for OIF and we had to turn it back into the supply system when we rotated back to the States so I don't have any of it to send you. Now that the Army has went to the ACU uniform, you better buy it when you can if you like that desert pattern.

A buddy of mine wore it in Arizona and it does work well.

I bet if you bought a roll of 3D break up tape with the mesh backing and had a few strips sewn on down the arms and across the top of your shoulder you could have about the same set up as the Natural Gear suit in my picture for about 1/4 the cost. I think I spent $110 on my suit with facemask from a "Mom & Pop" archery shop when I bought it.

Good Luck,
Blaze

Thanks Blaze, appriate the help.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long before getting back to the states for some ore hunting.
