Which 17 HMR rifle to choose??

I checked the spring out a minute ago. Doesn't look like anything one would have problems with unless he is one of those violent cleaners. There is no hook to it to catch on anything. I'll have to figure out what it does. Can't wait to get a scope and rings for it. Got a few critters that need balanced.

I have a CZ 455 American. I've had Savage 93s and Marlin 725. This CZ shoots just as good, But is nicer made and fits me better.

The weak link these days seems to be "poor" ammo quality control. So, a semi-auto Savage A17 may very well be just as accurate as a bolt action. Might as well go semi-auto.

I bought the savage a17 a few years back before they started putting Boyd's as a factory option.. so I got one of Boyd's featherweight thumbhole stocks. Bedded it and it is a shooter...only limitation is the ammo. My chronograph also showed lots of variation lot to lot but the a17 ammo ran the best for me.. definitely minute of gopher to 200 yards.. very pleased.

Finally got the Tikka on the bench today, Shoots real good, maybe 3/4 inch at a 100 out of the gate. It should only get better.

I have the Ruger 8350 in .17 HMR, accurate and fun to shoot!!! I wish Ruger made that same rifle in .17 WSM---I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Does it have a longer barrel than the Ruger 8349?
