Which 17hmr to go with?

My choice for a 17 hmr is an Anschutz 1517 heavy bbl. It shoots all the ammo really well, but the most accurate is A17. Under good conditions (no wind), it will shoot 1/2" at 100 yds and 1" at 200 yds. After installing a new trigger spring, it breaks at 9 ozs.
It was DEADLY on prairie dogs!

I am seriously thinking about trying an A17 just cuz I think it would be fun for jackrabbits, but I am skeptical.

I really like the idea of the A17 and know a few folks that have good success with them. I just know personally its too easy to burn ammo on bad shots knowing the next round is right there. Bolt action forces me to behave more (also hate the savage rotary mags)

Yeah you could burn up a few bucks for sure. I usually shoot a tikka .223 when I hunt jacks, so a semi would just be for some extra fun. It is also easier to stay on them after a miss if you do not have to cycle the bolt.
