Which 1911 .45 ACP?

I have 1 stainless combat commander, it was my first one. Last year I bought a Para P-14 stainless, wow does that thing shoot!! loved it so much that when I seen the Para P-13 spec ops green I got it too. Both are hi-cap, very accurate, and reliable. I am thinking my next one might be an LDA, man those are sweet!!

I've had my eye on the Springfield TRP for some time now but cant decide either. Just sold my boat and would like to get a 1911 also. Good post. Keepem comming

bowhunter57, i have been very pleased with my 2 ria's and 1 armscor 1911's. i have well over 1k rounds through my fullsize ria and it performs flawlessly. had to send the officers model back(slide was out of tolerance) they fixed right up and send me some extra dodads for my trouble. the officers model shoots great 1k+ shots no problems. I have not shot the armscor as much as the others, as i am thinking of selling it to finance a new rifle scope.

I have owned a few 1911's, my smith has performed and shot the best. I have gone the cheap route before, didn't work for me.

If your thinking about a Kimber then you are just fine. I would suggest as others here have to go with the full size (5"). Most of the name brands would be just fine. I have had just about all of them through the years. The 1911 has always been a mainstay in my safe. I have a Kimber classic I bought 7-8 years ago and I carry a Pro CDP (commander size) with alloy frame. Both of these guns have run flawlessly. Good luck and keep us posted.
