which 22 lr pistol

Earnest11Yes my Ruger has a 2x scope on it. I shoot farther than the 20 yards at golf balls. When I take a pair of shooting sticks it is good for 45-50 yards on sitting cottontails.

will eat any .22 you put in it and just as accurate as any of the rugers PISTOLS i had . mine loves the cci velocitor ammo

+Another vote for the Browning. My buddy and I both shoot Buckmarks of completely different stock models and they both shoot like lasers.

I have to admit that my Buckmark was experiencing a fairly unique stovepipe issue, but I easily solved the problem by replacing the extractor--an easy and inexpensive affair.

What I like about the Buckmark platform is that changing the barrel, which is a simple task, doesn't require an FFL transfer. Extra barrels are also very inexpensive, just do a quick Google search and you will see.

I bought a Browning Buckmark about 6 years ago. My brother bought a stainless Ruger Single Six the same year. Both have been excellent pistols. However, his Ruger has been able to out-shoot my Browning since day one and still looks brand spanking new to this day. Money well spent IMO. My next .22 cal. pistol will be a stainless single six.

P.S. The interchangeable .22 mag cylinder is a sweet feature. Especially for a hunting rig.

Good Hunting!

I have and shoot a browning, carry it for trapping. Both would be great pistols to own, hold them and see which one seems to fit best. The only down fall that the ruger has is tear down and cleaning, the Browning is way easier to take apart and reassemble.

IF you want to open the box and shoot it just get the buckmark. If you want to do any modification get the ruger.

Those sw revolvers are sweet but the grip is too small for my giant hands.

Bear I tried a Truglo Holo sight with 2.5 moa dot and the groups were terrible at 20 yards. I would sure like to know how you are hitting golf balls out to 30 and 40 yards.I sure want to hunt with this pistol but Im doing something wrong. Even with iron sights. I think its the V notch rear sight and fiber optic front bead thats screwing me up.I dont think its the best sight picture.Any suggestions?
Thanks
Daryl P.
