Which Base Mount Screws for My Remington 700 #6 or #8

I am wanting to purchase a Seekins Picatinny Base for my Remington 700 Sendero 7-Mag.

One of the options are for #6 or #8 screws.

Which ones do I need?

Also, what is the difference in the two? Diameter or threads per inch?
 
The number 6 screws should be what you need. 6x48 threads for the majority of factory rifles. The 8 should be 8x40 threads for rifles that have been modified for extreme conditions or heavy kickers. I dont know for certain but I feel like some of the long range guys probalbly prefer the larger screws also due to the weight of their scopes rings and bases.
