Which BORE SOLVENT is your TOP CHOICE?

I use some of that foam stuff, soak for 15 or so run brush a few times then some montana extreme bore solvent, then finish with hoppes then dry patch and some oil and done.

I've been using KG1 and KG12 for a few years. Nothing comes close to they're effectiveness. I used both today in my living room ( Raining outside) no residual smell at all. KG1 will remove copper also,no carbon fouling is to tough for KG1.KG12 is only for copper no copper fouling is to tough for KG12.

I've used them all.

Montana Extreme solvent for cleaning(soak over night if you wish)

Montana Extreme Copper killer beats them all, use on a Montana Extreme Plastic brush for the most stubborn rough barrels...get'er done right now! This stuff beats heck out of 7.62 and CR-10...Mpro-7 is like using water compared to Montana Extreme Copper killer.

Be careful with GM Top Engine Cleaner...this stuff goes straight to your kidney walls.

It is a good idea to Use rubber gloves with any of this stuff.

Barnes CR. Just be sure you dilute it as your removing it from the bore and be sure you get it all. To be a 100% sure run a patch soaked in gun oil the next day after you clean. Any white residue means you didn't get it all. It's not messy like the foam cleaners and usually gets it all with no brushing and very few patches. Make sure you follow the directions(except for the brushing if you don't believe in brushing) and watch the clock. Butch's is very good for those in-between (20-?) cleanings.

Wow, I've gotten way more responses to this post than what I expected! I like the sounds of the Bore Tech CU+2 because it's odorless and you can also finish with it. I didn't know that there were even products available like this! Probably will end up trying several of them to see which works the best for me. I have always used the Hoppes in the past, but just wanted to know what else is out there.
