Gettin a list made up on Midway for all my reloading stuff I need. Notcied bout everyone that has anything to do with reloading has their own tumbler. Was wondering what tumbler is everyones favorite?

Thanks,
Luke

I've used a couple of Midway vibrator tumblers for years with good results... Usually a little cheaper ($52) than the name brand ones...But, I don't scrimp on the media.. I use the Lyman Tuf-Nut rouge impregnated media and it produces really clean brass...

A friend gave me a RCBS "Sidewinder" tumbler ($420) and it doesn't hold as much brass and takes longer to produce the same results, but on the up side, it has integrated timer that shuts it off on schedule...

Midsouth Shooters Supply has a pretty good deal on their house brand tumbler and sifter, which closely resemble the RCBS Frankford Arsenal units, but a whole lot cheaper.
In all the time I've done business with MSS, they're ALWAYS spot on with pricing, usually a little better price wise than any other retailer. Generally speaking, I save about 10% going through MSS than Midway, but I do shop pricing on both sides of hte table.
MSS site is a little more difficult to work with, but I can usually look up manufacturer's part numbers if I know them, and Midway usually has them posted in the item specifications, so I can be sure of comparing apples to apples.
I do order from both, depending on who's got best pricing.
Both ship extraordinarily fast, both are super reliable, and both are excellent to do business with.

I buy my supplies from Graf & Sons the shipping is FREE where the other sites stick it to you for shipping. The free shipping is for a $50+ order & their prices are hard to beat period. I think you will be pleased when you check them out.

I will have to check that out. The local wally here has tumblers for about fifty too. I think it is a Lyman I think.

I have a frankford arsenal, an RCBS, and a dillon. (had the dilon, it was an older beat up one but ran fine, and got the RCBS, then just gor the Frankford for xmas from my sister) so dont think you nedd 3 LOL. I really like the RCBS and the Frankford Arsenal is just as good, but i think smaller capacity (not sure)for a lot less money.

Been reading the reviews at midway on the FA and RCBS tumblers they do have some good reviews but both also have quite a few bad reviews saying the motor would burn up pretty quick. Seems like the Hornady M2 and Lyman tumblers had the best reviews anybody have any experience with either of these tumblers?

Thanks,
Luke

The best bang for your buck will be getting a rotary tumbler. Like a Thumler's Tumbler and getting setup with stainless steel media. It works wonders and it polished up some 1970 military brass that was dirtier then coal and it came out looking brand-new. The pictures of it are no exaggeration, and YES it is a bit pricey to get setup but it'll be well worth it to ya.

Check it out!!

Here's a review of it

I'd have to agree 100% with this!

I got my Lyman from wally world works great! Didn't have to pay shipping, had the media with it.

Sorry but I can buy a lot of new brass for the price to get setup for SS! Plus I don't think the coyotes care if the inside of my brass was still a little dirty.

Make that 200%! After seeing that one did to some Korean war vintage brass I was stunned. I thought it was brand new brass but instead it was made in 1952! I ordered me one from Cabella's the next day.

I am not throwing out my old corncob and walnut tumblers, but if I want brass that is really REALLY clean and shiny then out comes the Thumblers!

Does this stainless steel media work with a vibrating type tumbler?

I think I'm going to go to a Hornady ultrasonic cleaner. It supposed to get the insides as clean as the outsides.

I agree on the Thumlers Tumbler, check them out at stainlesstumblingmedia.com . They get insides just as clean as outsides and also clean primer pockets for ya. They are amazing. Ive used a Frankford Arsenal vibratory case cleaner for quite a few years, and while it does a good job I am through with it. I do use the stainless tumbling media with it and yes it is too heavy for the vibratory cleaners.

Ultra Vibe 18, so quiet that you can listen to the radio on a very low volume with the tumbler right beside you. I have been using mine since 1989...
