Which DPMS barrel should I get?

I have narrowed my choices down to the fluted Bull 20, fluted heavy barrel off of the Prairie Panther, or the Mini SASS barrel? It will be used for coyotes and the biggest difference in them besides weight is 1:9 vs. 1:8 twist. I would prefer to shoot 55 grain V-Max bullets so what twist rate is the best? Any suggestions?

Either of these twists should work fine for a 55 gr. Anymore I buy the faster twists when I have the choice.

My deciding factors between these two barrels would be weight, length, and flash hider vs. target crown.

Also if I am looking at the same barrels on their site as you are, the Praire has a 223 chamber and the SASS has the 5.56. That brings up another whole conversation.

The reason I am buying a DPMS is just to say I have an AR and hunting coyotes. I don't really need to have 5.56 I guess because I won't be putting hundreds of rounds through it target practicing or anything. I thought I would want the flash hider for night hunting but that is hard enough as it is and getting multiple shots or shooting at multiple coyotes is practically out of the question when it's pitch black. I would most likely just shine one, shoot it, and be done because any more would probably be gone. I wish they had a 20" target crowned, fluted, black teflon coated heavy barrel (like the Prairie Panther) but in 1:9!!!

Not sure but if you have the patience, by the looks of their web site they would build just about any combination you could ask for.?
