Which Electronic Powder Measure???

So I've been kicking around the idea of biting the bullet and buying a Chargemaster. I am loading mostly for .223, .22-250 and .243, I use Varget most of the time and IMR-4350. Started looking into other powder throwers and looked at the Lyman for almost $100 less with excellent reviews, and also the Hornady Lock N Load for under $200, also with good reviews. My question is, is the RCBS worth the extra money? I'm kind of leaning towards the Lyman at this point. See links below for reference. Thanks for the help!

I have the rcbs and really like it. I load a lot of varget also. And the stick powders are tougher to measure the way it augers out. I put a straw in the end an inch or so long to help it out. I've heard the Lyman is a nice unit. I'd buy it again.

I went with the RCBS, Midway had a $30 off $300 deal, plus the $50 rebate from RCBS, was too cheap to pass up, it came out to be $270 with shipping. I plan on ordering one of the reducing inserts once I get it. Thanks for the input

I have a rcbs and it works good. Haven't used it much but the stick powders are tough to meter through it. I have it set for 26g of varget and it goes over by a tenth or two. Also done some RL19 in it and it's about the same. I'm going to try cfe 223 and see how it does with that. Keep an eye on amazon every once in a great while they screw up on the price and you get it for a steal. I got mine for 55 bucks shipped from amazon due to a pricing error. Took almost 6 months to get it and every month they sent me an email to confirm that I wanted to continue waiting and had to reply or my order would be canceled but persistence paid off haha

I have the RCBS and do meter a lot of stick powders including Varget....I changed the parameters. (Google search should get you instructions) to slow it down for trickle and i can't remember the last time I've been over by even a tenth of a grain. I've had this Chargemaster for years and it works great.

I haven't tried any of the other brands because my RCBS hasn't failed.

loaded up 50 rounds of .243 using IMR-4350 and 50 rounds of .22-250 using varget for the first time with the chargemaster. it worked great, really saved me a ton of time. I bought the reducing insert also and I'd say it works good. didnt try it without it though. the 4350 seems to have more over pours than varget. I think out of 50, I only had one pour go over by only a tenth of a grain. with the 4350 I'd say 1 out of 15 or so would go over by only a tenth of a grain. Not too shabby! Way more consistent than anything else I've tried. Definitely glad to have it.
