Which Flat top, stainless, heavy barrel, AR upper?

I currently have a Colt Match HBAR Sporter in as new condition (15yrs old but truly less than 250rds). I would like to replace the upper with a flat top, stainless, heavy barrel. I looked at Rock Rivers 18" and it looked perfect for a calling rifle setup.
Any thoughts.
What would my Colt upper be worth? thanks, Jay

RRA has a rep for being accurate and are priced within most people budget. The only complaint i have heard is that they are very heavy.

Olympic Arms K8 upper or one of their SUM barrel uppers. Olympicfirearms.com has a downloadable catalog on their site. Cheaper than most, mfg. on sight, not farmed out parts like some companys and guranteed out of the box accuracy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Not sure of the H-bar value. Snoop around at AR15.com and you'll be able to get an idea.

Take a look at Model 1 Sales website. They use ER Shaw barrels on their uppers and they're affordable.

jcs271,
I agree with beal175 on all 3 of his comments.

I have a Rock River Arms Wilson SS 16" Varmint barrel with a 1:8 twist that's extremely accurate. I was looking to purchase a 20" barrel too, but the weight of the 16" barrel is enough, much easier to handle and affordable. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Heck even a standard K16 (16" heavy flat top)from Oly should do the trick...wanna get fancy? Try a K6 with a broach cut barrel, the most accurate out of the box with an accuracy and product guarantee. If you think 1/4" groups are too much save $150 and just get a K8 and get 1/2" groups.

Need to buck the wind? Get it in 6x45.

The K16 is what I filaly decided on, mainly on the weight issue. Good accuracy guranteed out of the box and the price allows for a good scope with the money saved on the weapon vs. other companys. So far I've only fired about 50 rounds through it (due to optic issues) and I've been pretty impressed with it. Go OLY!!
