I've got both in pistol, but like I said the .357 is a safe queen. I've got a .44 in carbine as well, fun little gun. For a long gun I wouldn't mind having a .357 as well but haven't come across a good deal in one. Not as common out here where your typical hunting shot can push 400 yards. I finally added a 30-30 last year and traded it unfired for a .223 stevens. I decided I had enough close range rifles considering how rarely I need a close range rifle.
