What powder dispenser do you guys think would be the best one to go with? Would like one that I can trust enough that I dont have to re-weigh on my scale every time to make sure its the same. Im ok with checking every 5th, 10th whatever time just not every single load.

Thanks,
Luke

The best powder peasure is the Redding BR30 next is the 3BR until you get to the custom power measures. Ask anyone that has shot Benchrest and that is what most started with unless they bought a custom measure.

Can't go wrong with the ones shown in this link:

Harrells Powder Measures

I am now using their BR Premium measure. I like it because I can do exactly what you are describing and if you write down the settings, it is very easy to return to a favorite charge with a given powder. The other reason I like the Harrells is that they tend to meter the short kernel powders (up to the size of Varget or so) quite well. I can consistently hold Varget at +/- .2grs at 26.5 grains. Ball powders will meter closer than many reloading balances can measure. In addition they are an extremely good company to work with.

Right now on my bench I have two Saecos, two lyman 55's an older Redding, A Hornaday and a Midway all but the two lymans and one Saeco have Micro adjusters and all meter prety much the same. The two Lymans are tuff to use with long stick powders but are great with short sticks and ball powders. I don't like the sliding sleave adjusters.

This what I use for powder that meters easy, a Redding Pro. The long cut powders go to a Pact dispensor combo. When using the Redding I weigh every 10- 15 load on the Pact scale.

I have two brands that I like.

RCBS

Hornady

Not that they are better than any others (I wouldn't know), but those two brands have served me well. It's nice to have extra parts so you don't have to readjust the drop every time you swap loads.

I have a Lyman/IdealNo.55 that was bought in the 60's by my Grandfather , a Redding 3BR , a Forrester, and a Lee Perfect Powder Measure . I like the Lee the best and the Forrester next . The Lyman works OK and the Redding is only consistant with ball powders in the center of its range (in other words it sucks).

The Forrester is very consistant but adjusting it is a pain .Once set it's great. The Hopper is small as well but the measure itself is very beafy compared to the others.

The Lee feels and looks cheap .The lever arms is too short and the mounting hardware is flemsy . My first one only lasted 15 years . However ,they throw very consistant charges and large IMR type powders (better known as rat turds) meter very well .

The Redding was my first reloading purchase when I upgraded from Garndpa's old stuff . It has never been as consistant as the Lyman and I only use it for 223's with H335 .It was very expensive and I think may be the only bad piece of reloading equipment I have ever had .However it looks great!!!!
