are you going to be doing a lot of prone shooting, bench shooting or off hand shots? All that matters to me when I'm picking which stock I will be buying. They all have there benefits but you need to answer a few questions before you decide.
Question how much do you want to spend? how light do you want the stock to be? pillars or full bedding block? do you care what color it is? just a few questions to ask yourself.
Basically all around shooting. In most cases out on the mule and taking a shot when I see a varmint or bird in the vineyard. Mostly ranging out to two hundred yards with some type of support or brace (Side of mule, barn window frame or fee hand).
As far as pillars or full bedding, I'm not sure which route to go. I have a 700 5R mil spec in 308 which came stock with a HS Precision stock which I do like.
As far as cost, I would like to stay under $400.00 for now. Need to spend the rest of my stash on a good scope and trigger!
